R<strong>and</strong>om deviations <strong>of</strong>repeated measurements are used to characterize the reliability <strong>of</strong> measurements <strong>and</strong>therefore their precision. They are <strong>of</strong>ten expressed as st<strong>and</strong>ard laboratory error <strong>and</strong>represent as a distribution <strong>of</strong> the results around the mean <strong>of</strong> the sample where thevariation is r<strong>and</strong>omly distributed to higher <strong>and</strong> lower values [1]. The SEL <strong>of</strong> thegravimetric method <strong>and</strong> TGA method was 0.22% <strong>and</strong> 0.05%, respectively showing thatthe TGA method was characterized by smaller SEL <strong>and</strong> better precision in comparisonto the gravimetric method. Moreover, calculated values for P (P > 0.1) indicated that thesignificant differences between repeated measurements for the gravimetric <strong>and</strong> the TGAmethod as well, were not reported (Table 3).196
