Locking ClipsGrouping ClipsGain WindowClip NameThe name of the clip is shown unless suppressed. View > Waveform Display > Hide Clip Name when WaveformShown.Clip GainThe overall Gain applied to the clip is shown. This value is displayed in decibels.Gain can be adjusted by selecting Clips > Clip Gain. The Gain window appears. If a Region is selected the Gainwill be changed on all clips in the selection.Clips can be protected from being displaced during editing by selecting Clips > Lock. A locked clip cannot bemoved in time or to another track until it is unlocked. Clips > Unlock. If you simply wish to prevent loss of syncselect Clips > Lock Horizontal Drag.To Group multiple clips, whether they are on the same or different Tracks, select the clips you wish to Grouptogether. Now choose Clips > Group. When any clip in a Group is selected, copied, deleted or moved, all clips inits Group will be similarly selected, copied, deleted or moved.To ungroup previously Grouped clips to treat them separately, select the Group and choose Clips > Ungroup.Groups can be nested. I.e. one group may be inside another group. For example a stereo or multi-channel clip issimply a group of mono clips. Stereo or Multi-channel clips may be ungrouped into individual mono ones in thesame way as any other group.The Gain window allows the gain to be set for the current selection. The gain value can betyped into the box at the top of the strip or set by clicking and dragging the faderMute when checked, mutes the selection but retains the gain valueSel. box (Selection).
