The much higher transmission frequencies, employed in order to convey double the number ofaudio channels over the XDTDM bus, require an improved ground plane, which is achieved with an additional conductiveshield:• To work properly in XDTDM mode, the ADAT daughter card has to be retrofitted with a shield, tightlyscrewed to the card in order to ensure proper grounding. Should you have an ADAT card, not yet retrofittedwith a Shield, that you wish to use in XDTDM Mode, please contact your Merging Sales Partner.Note: In XDTDM mode, the ADAT daughterboard will only support 8 output channelsthrough optical output A, duplicated through optical output B.
