Limiter DRC SectionDRC stands for Dynamic Release Compensation. In short, this means the release time of the limiter is altereddepending on the dynamic nature of the signal routed through the processor.Show/Hide DRC SectionRelease Acceleration orModification DisplayDRC Section On/OffGain Reduction BargraphOffset ControlVelocity ControlDynamics BargraphCurve ControlLookahead Delay ControlShow/hide DRC sectionDRC section on/offRelease Acceleration or Modification DisplayShows a curve which illustrates the relationship between the change in dynamics of the input signal and the variationof the release time. The curve can be adapted between linear and power function characteristics (see alsothe description of the Curve Control parameter). During playback the display will also show a small red ball movingalong the curve. This shows the range the algorithm is working in.Gain reduction bargraphDisplays the gain reduction of the limiter while the DRC circuit is active. The scale is fixed at 6 dB.Dynamics bargraphDisplays the dynamics of the input signal, which is the basis for the DRC algorithm.Velocity controlDetermines the speed of the DRC algorithm. The lower the value, the faster the algorithm reacts to changes of thedynamics of the signal and the more it reacts to dynamics the more the release time will remain constant.Offset controlThis parameter basically sets the minimum release time. In this sense the release control of the limiter defines themaximum release time, so the release time determined by the DRC algorithm will vary between these two times.Curve controlThis parameter controls the characteristics of the relationship between the dynamics of the signal and the resultingrelease timeStrip and Bus Tools : Bus Tools 15 - 289
