TracksAdding TracksEach Project has a user defined number of audio Tracks on which audio Clips can be placed, or audio inputs canbe recorded. Blocks representing placed or recorded Clips will appear on the Track as soon as a Clip has beenplaced or recorded onto it. The Track itself extends horizontally beneath the Time Scale bar, and multiple Tracksare stacked vertically. On the left side of each Track is a Header panel with various controls and information displays. Please see: TrackHeader Panel on page 74Some operations only apply to a selected track. A Track can be selected by left-clicking anywhere on the Headerwhich will then appear in a darker shade of gray. However, when selecting a Track, be careful NOT to inadvertentlyclick on any of the Track buttons, thereby changing a Track function: the Track Name is a good place to clickin order to select it.By default, a new Project opens with the same number of Tracks as there are Input Channels defined in theMixer for the Project. However, Tracks can easily be added or deleted.Creating tracks via pasteIf a clip is dragged and dropped or copied and pasted from Media Management or a Library onto a blank area ofthe TimeLine where no tracks exist, sufficient tracks will be created below the last existing track to accommodatethe number of channels in the clip.Tracks and Track Groups : Tracks 5 - 70
