Education, to provide regular <strong>in</strong>formation on the progress and needs of the project to theadm<strong>in</strong>istrative structure of the district.To complement the work of the AP Coord<strong>in</strong>ator at the district level, the project will identifyAP Liaisons at each targeted high school to be responsible for the daily operation of the projecton-site (0.15 FTE, Grant-funded). The school-based AP Liaisons will s<strong>up</strong>ervise project staff andensure the successful implementation of the project at the school-level, <strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g communicationof professional development needs of teachers. The AP Liaisons at each school will be identifiedby the school pr<strong>in</strong>cipal, and will be either an Assistant Pr<strong>in</strong>cipal, Dean or lead teacher who iswell-versed <strong>in</strong> advanced placement.In addition to personnel directly <strong>in</strong>volved <strong>in</strong> project implementation, the district will utilizean advisory gro<strong>up</strong> to ensure <strong>in</strong>volvement of stakeholders. The advisory committee will beestablished at the district level, comprised of the AP Coord<strong>in</strong>ator, AP Liaisons, target schoolpr<strong>in</strong>cipals and selected teachers, parents and students. To s<strong>up</strong>port the district’s implementationof the SCPS Cont<strong>in</strong>uous Improvement Model, which provides for a needs assessment that is acont<strong>in</strong>uous and comprehensive process, the committee’s responsibility will <strong>in</strong>clude the reviewand cont<strong>in</strong>ual assessment of project components, based on the project staff’s reports. Thecommittee will meet annually to offer <strong>in</strong>sight and suggestions regard<strong>in</strong>g project implementation.The <strong>in</strong>tention is for project staff to coord<strong>in</strong>ate these work sessions with the advisory gro<strong>up</strong> tofacilitate participation and feedback from those impacted by the project.In addition to the s<strong>up</strong>port of an advisory board, vertical and horizontal alignment of<strong>in</strong>structional plans, aligned with the Next Generation Sunsh<strong>in</strong>e State Standards, will bedeveloped <strong>in</strong> cooperation with the district’s Curriculum Services Department.
