Medication Policy Violation – failure to comply with the guidel<strong>in</strong>es for possess<strong>in</strong>g or adm<strong>in</strong>ister<strong>in</strong>g prescriptionmedications and over-the-counter medications.Offensive Touch<strong>in</strong>g of Employee, Volunteer, Student, or other person lawfully on School Boardproperty or at a School Board sponsored activity - mak<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong>appropriate, un<strong>in</strong>vited, unwelcome, oroffensive physical contact with a school employee or volunteer.Off Campus Felony - the arrest of a student for the alleged commission of a felony or a del<strong>in</strong>quent act whichwould be classified as a felony if committed by an adult at a time and place where students are <strong>not</strong> subject to thecontrol of the school.Open Defiance - the flagrant or hostile challenge of the authority of a school staff member, bus driver, or anyother adult <strong>in</strong> authority.Repeated Misconduct - the repetitive violation of the rules of conduct.Robbery (S) – (us<strong>in</strong>g force to take someth<strong>in</strong>g from a<strong>not</strong>her) the tak<strong>in</strong>g or attempted tak<strong>in</strong>g of anyth<strong>in</strong>g of valuethat is owned by a<strong>not</strong>her person or organization, under the confrontational circumstances of force or threat offorce or violence and/or putt<strong>in</strong>g the victim <strong>in</strong> fear.Sext<strong>in</strong>g – the tak<strong>in</strong>g, dissem<strong>in</strong>at<strong>in</strong>g, transferr<strong>in</strong>g, or shar<strong>in</strong>g of obscene, pornographic, lewd or otherwise illegalimages or photographs, where by electronic data transfer or otherwise may constitute a crime under state and/orfederal law. Any person tak<strong>in</strong>g, dissem<strong>in</strong>at<strong>in</strong>g, transferr<strong>in</strong>g, or shar<strong>in</strong>g obscene, pornographic, lewd, or otherwiseillegal images or photographs will be reported to law enforcement and/or other appropriate state or federalagencies, which may result <strong>in</strong> arrest and prosecution.Sexual Battery (S) - any sexual act directed aga<strong>in</strong>st a<strong>not</strong>her person, forcibly or aga<strong>in</strong>st that person's will, or <strong>not</strong>forcibly aga<strong>in</strong>st that person's will where the victim is <strong>not</strong> capable of giv<strong>in</strong>g consent.Sexual Harassment (S) – (undesired sexual behavior) unwanted and repeated verbal or physical behavior withsexual con<strong>not</strong>ations by an adult or student that is severe or pervasive enough to create an <strong>in</strong>timidat<strong>in</strong>g, hostile oroffensive educational environment, cause discomfort or humiliation or unreasonably <strong>in</strong>terfere with the<strong>in</strong>dividual’s school performance or participation (F.A.C. Rule, 6A-19.008(1)). An <strong>in</strong>cident when one persondemands a sexual favor from a<strong>not</strong>her under the threat of physical harm or adverse consequence.Sexual Misconduct (S) - engag<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> a consensual sex act or physical conduct of a sexual nature.Sexual Offenses (S) – other sexual contact, <strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong>tercourse, without force or threat of force, subject<strong>in</strong>g an<strong>in</strong>dividual to lewd sexual gestures, sexual activity, or expos<strong>in</strong>g private body parts <strong>in</strong> a lewd manner.Skipp<strong>in</strong>g Class - <strong>not</strong> report<strong>in</strong>g to or leav<strong>in</strong>g an assigned class, activity, or area without receiv<strong>in</strong>g proper priorapproval and/or follow<strong>in</strong>g the established procedures for check<strong>in</strong>g out of a class.Skipp<strong>in</strong>g School - <strong>not</strong> report<strong>in</strong>g to school or leav<strong>in</strong>g school grounds without receiv<strong>in</strong>g proper prior approvaland/or follow<strong>in</strong>g the established procedures for check<strong>in</strong>g out of school.Stalk<strong>in</strong>g - the willful, and repeated follow<strong>in</strong>g of a<strong>not</strong>her person or engag<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> a pattern of conduct composed ofa series of acts over time, however short, that causes substantial emotional distress to the person who is the targetof such conduct.Substantial Disr<strong>up</strong>tion of School - engag<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> disorderly conduct that seriously <strong>in</strong>terferes with the orderlyoperation of school or a school function or poses a threat to the health, safety, or welfare of others, or causespersonal <strong>in</strong>jury, or results <strong>in</strong> damage or destruction to public or private property.Tardy - late arrival to school or to a class.9Page 542
