Maintain Full Member Affiliation with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, and as such,subscribe to, and evaluate the program based on “STANDARDS FOR ONE-TO-ONEMENTORING.’ These standards serve to insure a quality mentoring service with excellent riskmanagement systems and are attached hereto as Attachment A and made a part hereof word forword as is set forth herein by reference and attachment.2. Take responsibility for locating, enrolling, assessing and training the mentors servingunder this agreement. Mentors may be college students, corporate personnel, high schoolstudents, retirees or community members.3. Provide a system for enrolling the students (mentees) so that the teacher or counselor willfill out a one-page “referral/interview’ form and have a BBBS permission form signed by thestudent’s parent or legal guardian. This permission form will include the necessary consent forthe release and sharing, between The School Board of Seminole County, Florida (“Board)”) andBig Brothers Big Sisters of Central Florida, Inc. (BBBS), of the student records indicated inparagraph B.1. below. (A copy of the permission form is attached to this MOU.)4. “Match” the mentors and mentees using the ‘Asset Model” Mentors will be assigned tothe mentees in such a way that the mentors will enhance and further develop other assets asneeded by the mentees.Page 1 of 5Page 516
