EDUCATIONAL PLANT FIVE YEAR SURVEY REPORTDistrict:59-SEMINOLE COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICTSurvey:Survey: 3 - Version: 1Status:Active Pend<strong>in</strong>gPREFACEReport of an educational plant survey, here<strong>in</strong>after also referenced as “survey,” conducted <strong>in</strong> accordance with therequirements of, and pursuant to specifications <strong>in</strong>, Article IX and Article XII of the Florida Constitution; Chapters 1001,1011, and 1013, Florida Statutes (F.S.); State Requirements for Educational Facilities (SREF); and the FloridaBuild<strong>in</strong>g Code (FBC). This survey report describes the current educational plants and the estimated capital outlayneeds result<strong>in</strong>g from a systematic study of present educational and ancillary plants. This study also addresses thefuture needs, <strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g long range plann<strong>in</strong>g, to provide an appropriate educational program and services for eachstudent based on projected capital outlay FTE’s (COFTE) approved or authorized for use by the Department ofEducation.NOTE: All educational plant surveys are valid for five full years and expire on June 30 of thefifth full year from the beg<strong>in</strong>n<strong>in</strong>g date of the survey. For example, a survey approved <strong>in</strong>October will be valid through the rema<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g fiscal year and for five full years beg<strong>in</strong>n<strong>in</strong>g onthe follow<strong>in</strong>g July 1; effectively, this makes the survey approved <strong>in</strong> October valid for fiveyears and eight months. By the same scenario, a survey approved <strong>in</strong> May will be validthrough the rema<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g fiscal year and for five full years beg<strong>in</strong>n<strong>in</strong>g on the follow<strong>in</strong>g July 1;effectively, this makes the survey approved <strong>in</strong> May valid for five years and one month.PAGE:4 of 401Report Date: 5/12/2011 3:38:08 PMPage 91
