2011-2012 INTER-DISTRICT AGREEMENT FOR THE ENROLLMENT OF SEMINOLECOUNTY STUDENTS IN UCP of CENTRAL FLORIDATHIS AGREEMENT is made this 14th day of June, 2011, by and between The School Board ofSem<strong>in</strong>ole <strong>County</strong>, Florida, (here<strong>in</strong>after referred to as "SCSB" or the "send<strong>in</strong>g school"), The School Boardof Orange <strong>County</strong>, Florida, (here<strong>in</strong>after referred to as "OCSB" or the "receiv<strong>in</strong>g school"), politicalsubdivisions of the State of Florida, and UCP of Central Florida (here<strong>in</strong>after referred to as "UCPCF" orthe "Charter School").WITN ESSETH:WHEREAS, OCSB has issued a charter, pursuant to Florida Statutes §1002.33, to UCPEO, 3280Progress Dr., Orlando, Florida 32826 for the operation of a charter school serv<strong>in</strong>g identified childrenages birth through Grade 12, with developmental delay or other disability, under 20 U.S.C.§1400 etseq., State Board Rule Chapter 6A-6, Florida Adm<strong>in</strong>istrative Code and other applicable federal andState of Florida Adm<strong>in</strong>istrative Rules; and children <strong>in</strong> <strong>in</strong>clusive education programs; andWHEREAS, SCSB, from time to time would desire to place students <strong>in</strong> a charter school whosepurpose is to provide comprehensive services for children, birth through Grade 12, identified asdevelopmentally delayed or other disabilities.NOW, THEREFORE <strong>in</strong> consideration of the mutual covenants conta<strong>in</strong>ed here<strong>in</strong>, and for othergood and valuable consideration, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, the parties to thisAgreement hereby agree as follows:SCSB may place <strong>up</strong> to twenty (20) students who either demonstrate features ofdevelopmental delays or other disabilities and who would be eligible for the UCP CharterSchool program. Further, SCSB and UCPCF agree to develop an admissions protocol whichshall establish the specific procedure to be followed <strong>in</strong> determ<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g which specificSem<strong>in</strong>ole <strong>County</strong> students shall be enrolled <strong>in</strong> UCPCF under this Agreement.OCSB and UCPCF may accept a maximum of twenty (20) SCSB students for enrollmentpursuant to the terms and conditions of this Agreement.UCPCF may accept SCSB students for enrollment pursuant to the terms andconditions of this Agreement at any given time. UCPCF shall accept SCSBstudents only if there are no OCSB students on a wait<strong>in</strong>g list for the age/grade appropriateclass. OCSB students will have first priority for enrollment.1The IEP, which establishes the educational and related services to beprovided to students enrolled at UCPCF under this agreement, shall bedeveloped by the UCPCF multi discipl<strong>in</strong>ary team pursuant to proceduralrequirements of 20 U.S.C. §1400, et seq., 34 C.F.R. Part 300, §6A.603028,and Fla. Adm. Code Chapter 6A-6.Page 522
