Wait States<br />

DDR Automatic Restore Waitstate PSWS<br />

DDR Automatic Restore loads a wait state of zero after a successful restore,<br />

otherwise a coded disabled wait state PSW is loaded. The format <strong>and</strong> description<br />

for these codes are as follows:<br />

PSW Code Format<br />

Byte Description<br />

0 DDRFLAG error indicator, either 00 or 90<br />

1 DDRFLAG3 error indicators<br />

2 & 3 DDR return code<br />

Note: If the DDRFLAG is non–zero, return the restore without the LOADPARM<br />

AUTOxxxx for the error message.<br />

X’04’ Indicate small real storage<br />

X’02’ Dumped DASD was larger than target<br />

X’01’ No console device<br />

Code Description<br />

1 Invalid file name or file not found<br />

2 Error running the program<br />

3 Flagged DASD track<br />

4 Permanent tape or DASD I/O error<br />

20 Error in the decoding routine<br />

The st<strong>and</strong>-alone dump utility communicates to the user through wait state codes in<br />

the PSW.
