IN LENGTH<br />

Explanation: The first record read from the system<br />

abend or st<strong>and</strong>-alone dump tape was not 4KB in length.<br />

User Response: Verify that the correct tape was<br />

mounted. If it was not, mount the proper tape <strong>and</strong><br />

reenter the comm<strong>and</strong>.<br />

If the correct tape was mounted, notify the system<br />

programmer.<br />

H<strong>CP</strong>8175E REQUIRED SYSTEM STORAGE NOT<br />

AVAILABLE<br />

Explanation: The CMSSTOR OBTAIN macro was<br />

issued to obtain needed storage for processing the<br />

DUMPLOAD comm<strong>and</strong>. The macro did not complete<br />

successfully <strong>and</strong> storage could not be acquired.<br />

<strong>System</strong> Action: <strong>System</strong> operation continues.<br />

User Response: Reenter the comm<strong>and</strong>. If the<br />

problem persists, increase the storage size of your<br />

virtual machine by entering a <strong>CP</strong> DEFINE STORAGE<br />

comm<strong>and</strong>.<br />

User Response: Either erase all the existing filename<br />

DUMPxxxx files or rename the files. Then reissue the<br />

DUMPLOAD comm<strong>and</strong>.<br />

H<strong>CP</strong>8178E DUMP FILE MODE filemode INVALID<br />

Explanation: The dump file mode is not valid. See the<br />

z/<strong>VM</strong>: CMS Comm<strong>and</strong>s <strong>and</strong> Utilities Reference for a<br />

description of a valid file mode.<br />

<strong>System</strong> Action: The comm<strong>and</strong> is not executed;<br />

system operation continues.<br />

User Response: Reissue the DUMPLOAD comm<strong>and</strong><br />

using a valid file mode.<br />
