6 Operation
The compressed air system supplies the braking system and the working pneumatics
system with compressed air. The following processes of euro-Maus4 are performed by
the working pneumatics system:
– Switching of operating modes "Turtle"/"Rabbit" for the manual transmission.
– Switching between the gears "I" and "II".
– Switching off all-wheel drive.
– Switching on differential locks.
– Locking in place of the rotatable seat.
– Swinging of the two rearview mirrors.
– Raising/lowering of the warning signs.
– Swinging of the boarding steps.
In addition to the pneumatic system, the compressed air compressor also supplies to:
– the compressed air tap on the machine
– the blow-out gun in the driver's cab
– the water spraying system (if this option is available)
In any case, ensure that the stop valve (1) of the pneumatic system is always open
because otherwise a large part of the pneumatic system is out of operation.
In the position shown, the stopcock is open. To close it, turn it by 90°.
The pneumatic system also supplies the exhaust gas after-treatment system.
Compressed air is needed for the injection of AdBlue® and for purging the system.
The exact reservoir pressure of the compressed air system (17) is displayed on the color
