Maintenance and Care
In order to achieve smooth surfaces on the weld build-up and thus avoid damage to
the beet, these build-up welds must be done by machine. This work can be completed
professionally and cheaply at many ROPA servicing outlets.
As the build-up welding rod, we recommend a special-purpose filler wire ROPA
SCREWTEC with a diameter of 1.6 mm. This is applied ex-works and can be ordered,
quoting ROPA Item No. 017136, on a 15 kg reel.
7.12 Pile pickup with residual beet pickup
Clean the hydraulically moved parts in order to remove coarse dirt and coat the
telescopic tube with lubricating grease if necessary.

On the telescopic tube, the play between outer and inner tube can be set if necessary as
follows:
– Remove the six hexagon bolts (3).
– The play is set with spacer plates (4).
– Reattach the sets of six hexagon bolts.
