8.10 Jacking up for wheel change
Lifting euro-Maus4 with an
hydraulic car jack
369
8 Troubleshooting
– In order to jack up the vehicle, park euro-Maus4 on even ground with an adequate
load bearing capacity.
– Fold out the pickup. The truck conveyor and counterweight arm remain in transport
position.
– Secure the machine against moving off of its own accord by applying the parking
brake and with wheel chocks.
– For jacking up, you will require an (hydraulic) car jack with a load bearing capacity of
at least 15t.
– Position the jack as shown in the illustrations below.
Securing the raised euro-Maus4 by means of a sturdy support
As soon as the machine is jacked up, it must also be secured against falling down with
solid squared timbers with an adequate load bearing capacity or with similar materials.
When changing wheels, we recommend using the ROPA jack stand (ROPA Item No.:
018680) on the wheel hub.
Warning! Risk of very severe injuries due to euro-Maus4 dropping down! For reasons
of safety, euro-Maus4 may always be jacked up only at one axle and on one side.
