Operation
6.2 Safety regulations for operation of euro-Maus4
– Before starting work, familiarize yourself with the machine and the operating
components. If needed, obtain instructions from a person who already has sufficient
experience in handling the machine.
– Before each startup, check the machine for driving and operating safety.
– Instruct all people staying in the vicinity of the machine about the hazard zones and
the applicable safety regulations when dealing with the machine. Strictly prohibit all
people from entering the hazard zones when the machine is running. The appendix
to this operating manual contains a drawing showing the hazard zones of the
machine. In case of need, copy this sheet and hand it out as needed to all people
present during operation of the machine. Obtain confirmation of receipt of this sheet
from each person by their signature.
– It is generally not permitted to transport people on the boarding platform either
during driving on roads or during loading. If this regulation is deviated from for
training purposes, then this is done at your own risk and under the responsibility of
each of those participating.
– The effectiveness of operating controls or setting parts may in no way be impaired or
rendered inoperative. Safety installations may neither be circumvented nor bridged
or otherwise be rendered ineffective.
– When working with and on the machine, always wear tightly fitting and suitable
protective clothing respectively approved personal protective equipment. Depending
on the activities, the following personal protective equipment is required: Warning
vest, protective helmet, safety boots, hand protection, ear protection, face protection.
– Rollers and conveyors may never be stepped on when the engine is running.
– Staying under raised machine parts is prohibited, even if the machine is shut off.
These parts may suddenly come down and severely injure people.
– Staying in the swivel range of machine parts is prohibited.
– Only specifically authorized people may enter the hazard zones for discharging
maintenance and monitoring tasks after precise agreement with the operator. These
people must be precisely informed about possibly occurring hazards before entering
the hazard zones. All activities between the operator and these people must be
exactly agreed before beginning these activities. All maintenance, adjustment and
monitoring work on this machine must – to the extent technically possible – always
be performed with the machine standing totally still and engine shut off. The operator
of the machine is responsible for the fact, that the machine cannot be put into
operation by unauthorized people, inadvertently or in contrary to prior agreements.
