6 Operation
Chapter 6
Operation
6.22 Electric system
6.22.1 Voltage monitoring
The battery voltage (16) is monitored by the system. In case of too high or too low
voltage values, the color terminal displays the following warning icon .
The battery voltage (16) may not exceed 30V and may not fall below 23V. In case of a
battery voltage (16) of below 23V, experience has shown that the machine cannot be
started anymore.
When a generator fails, the color terminal displays the following icon for generator 1
(upper generator) and for generator 2 (lower generator).
6.22.2 Fuses
Most fuses are located in the switching cabinet of the central electrical cabinet. Further
fuses are located at the radio console and in the seat console. The main fuses are
located in the battery box. Details on this are found in the Chapter "Troubleshooting".
6.22.3 Disconnect timer from the vehicle electrical supply
The electrical system (with the exception of the timer for the independent heating system
and boarding platform lighting) can be completely separated from the batteries via the
main battery switch. The main battery switch is located in the radio console.
If the timer for the independent heating system (a very minimal permanent consumer
device!) is also to be separated from the power supply, then the fuse F03 (1) in the
switch box of the central electrical cabinet must be pulled.
