7.16 Battery maintenance
Check the acid level in the vehicle batteries at least once per week during the season.
Attention! Risk of chemical burns. Battery acid may cause dangerous chemical burns
on the skin and within the respiratory system. When handling acid batteries, always
wear appropriate protective clothing (protective goggles, acid-resistant gloves, apron).
Avoid skin contact with battery acid. Avoid inhaling acid fumes. When handling batteries,
ensure that the workplace is adequately ventilated.. If battery acid comes into contact
with the skin, douche the skin surface immediately and copiously with water. Then
immediately consult a doctor.
Where necessary, add adequate distilled water until the electrolyte level is 10 mm above
the upper level of the plates.
You can complete this work quickly and safely with the ROPA battery cell filler with
automatic level filler function (Item No. 015364).
7.17 Printer (option)
After larger print jobs, depending on the paper quality and detrimental environment
effects, it may be necessary to clean the print head, the sensor and the drive roller under
certain circumstances, in particular if areas are no longer being printed properly.
– Open the paper tray cover and remove the roll of paper.
– Using a small brush, clean away any dirt on paper, sensor and ripping edge.
– Blow strongly onto the paper tray recess to remove major dust deposits.
– Soak a cotton bud with pure isopropanol alcohol (IPA) and clean the printing strip or
use a print head cleaning rod / cleaning card.
– Remove further heavy soiling also using a cotton bud (IPA).
Never use sharp objects for cleaning. This could damage the print head.
