7.1.3.2 Changing the standard prefilter element respectively draining off water
A change of filter element is necessary once per year or when refilling the intermediate
tank takes too long or no longer occurs at all (the following symbol is displayed on
the color terminal).

Replace the filter cartridge (9) as follows:
– Shut off the engine.
– Shut off the fuel connection to the intermediate tank. In order to do this, swivel
around the longer (upper) servicing lever (4) on the valve manifold , fuel supply (5),
through 45° upwards to SERVICING position.
– Place a suitable collecting vessel beneath it.
– Unscrew the locking ring (6) of the water collecting tank (8).
Detach the water collecting tank (8) and empty it into the collecting vessel.
