7 Maintenance and Care
– Open the locking ring (7) of the filter cartridge (9). Pull off the filter cartridge (9) and
dispose of it in accordance with locally applicable disposal regulations.
– Insert the new filter cartridge (9) and lock it with the locking ring (7).
– Attach the water collecting tank (8) and lock it with the locking ring (6).
– The filter is bled automatically when the ignition is switched on.
– Check the filter unit for leaks (visual inspection).

Draining water from the water collecting tank
Draining off water collected is required when the water collecting tank is full, there is a
risk of subzero temperatures or the filter cartridge is replaced.
– Open the drain plug (10) at the base of the water
collecting tank (8).
– Allow the water to drain off.
– Screw the drain plug in again.
