8 Troubleshooting<br />

During all work on the central lubrication system, make sure of utmost cleanliness. In no<br />

case should dirt enter the lubrication system.<br />

If the grease reservoir should, inadvertently, have been run empty, then the lubricating<br />

pump must be bled. For this purpose, remove the main line from the main distributor<br />

and switch on the pump until air-free grease escapes from the main line (see "Switching<br />

on the pump") Screw a lubricating nipple into the inlet of the main distributor and pump<br />

grease or use a hand-lever grease gun to inject grease into the main distributor until the<br />

grease escapes at the bearings. Then reconnect all line connections again.<br />

Should the line system be blocked, the grease is ejected at the pressure<br />

relief valve (directly at the line outlet of the pump). To remove this block, proceed as<br />

follows:<br />
