8 Troubleshooting
During all work on the central lubrication system, make sure of utmost cleanliness. In no
case should dirt enter the lubrication system.
If the grease reservoir should, inadvertently, have been run empty, then the lubricating
pump must be bled. For this purpose, remove the main line from the main distributor
and switch on the pump until air-free grease escapes from the main line (see "Switching
on the pump") Screw a lubricating nipple into the inlet of the main distributor and pump
grease or use a hand-lever grease gun to inject grease into the main distributor until the
grease escapes at the bearings. Then reconnect all line connections again.
Should the line system be blocked, the grease is ejected at the pressure
relief valve (directly at the line outlet of the pump). To remove this block, proceed as
follows:
