7 Maintenance and Care Chapter 7 Maintenance and Care 7.11.2 Exchanging the pig tails of the pickup rollers The pickup rollers have hard-coated turnover plates (ROPA Item No. 102080) at the pickup pig tails. Owing to fastening using a bolted connection, each individual turnover plate which is worn may be renewed easily and without major installation effort if needed. 300 Pickup pig tail with turnover plate Danger! Risk of serious injury when working on the pig tails of the pickup rollers. At all events, switch off the machine completely and safeguard it against being switched on by third parties before starting work on the pickup. For this purpose, withdraw the ignition key and lock the driver's cab. Secure the ignition key against access by third parties!
7.11.3 Removal and fitting of conveyor and pinch rollers Please always note: Drive side: 11 13 15 12 14 301 7 Maintenance and Care – The rollers are plugged onto the clutch dogs (11) at the gears. There is no further locking device on the gears for these rollers. – All polyamide plug-in couplings (12) must be greased before sliding them onto the clutch dogs. – Insert a new O-ring (ROPA Item No. 412338) (13) into the clutch dog and into the end of the roller (O-ring ROPA Item No.: 412635) (14) prior to installation. – The four M12 x 80 hexagonal recess bolts (ROPA Item No. 415051) (15) with which the polyamide plug-in couplings (12) are screwed into the rollers are coated with a special screw locking compound (retention) and may be used only once. Outer support end: – All of the M24 fine thread bolts (16) have a right-handed thread (!). The tightening torque is 750 Nm.
