7 Maintenance and Care<br />

Warning! There is a risk of severe or very severe injuries and the risk of damage to the<br />

machine during all maintenance work. Never climb over the rear wall of the platform.<br />

During all maintenance work, ensure that nobody is able to inadvertently start up the<br />

machine (withdraw the ignition key, lock the driver's cabin, always carry the ignition key<br />

on your body and, as far as is absolutely possible, switch off the main battery switch.<br />

Only perform maintenance work for which you have been trained and for which you have<br />

the required knowledge and tools. During all maintenance work, strictly comply with all<br />

regionally applicable regulations on health and safety and environmental protection.<br />

Never forget this: If you do not comply with the applicable regulations on health and<br />

safety or environmental protection, you endanger yourself, other people and the<br />

environment. In addition, you may lose insurance cover. Always use approved ladders<br />

and climbing aids which are safe to tread on.<br />

In order to open the engine housing cover, first press the unlocking button in the molded<br />

recess. Then place your hand from below into the opening on the engine housing cover and<br />

press the flap lock (1) upward. You can now fully open the engine housing cover.<br />

Perform a daily check of the engine oil level using the oil dipstick. Make sure the<br />

machine is standing on level ground and the engine is cold (not running). Your engine<br />

contains sufficient oil if the oil level is in the middle between the minimum and maximum<br />

m mark. If required, add a corresponding quantity of approved engine oil. Always ensure<br />

that you do not add too much oil.<br />
