7 Maintenance and Care
Warning! Risk of poisoning and risk of damage to the skin. Corrosion protection
agent / antifreeze contain hazardous materials. If swallowed, there is an acute risk
of poisoning. If the substance comes in contact with the skin, inflammation or caustic
burns may occur. Never fill corrosion protection agents / antifreeze into drinking vessels
or beverage bottles. Always store these agents so that children do not have access to
these agents.
At all events, comply with the safety information of the manufacturer of these agents.
Risk of damage to the environment. Corrosion protection agents / antifreeze are
hazardous for the environment. When handling these materials, always ensure that the
corrosion protection agents / antifreeze do not enter the environment, but are disposed
of in a manner compatible with the environment.
Always ensure that there is sufficient antifreeze and only use corrosion protection agents
/ antifreeze expressly approved in Mercedes-Benz– Works Standards 325.0 or
326.0. (see Page 401)
If the liquid level in the coolant expansion tank is too low, the warning symbol is
displayed on the color terminal.
The coolant expansion tank with the filler neck for coolant is located on the boarding
platform behind the hydraulic fluid tank.
