Chapter 14 – SIM-Related <strong>Command</strong>s<br />

14.4 <strong>AT</strong>^SSET Indicate SIM Data Ready<br />

Description:<br />

After power-up and personalization (PIN entry if required) the ME starts reading data from<br />

SIM. The <strong>AT</strong>^SSET command controls the presentation of the “^SSIM READY” URC that<br />

indicates on the corresponding serial channel when the ME has finished reading SIM data.<br />

See Section 20.1, Restricted Access to SIM Data after SIM Authentication.<br />

^SSIM READY The URC acknowledges to the user that SIM data is accessible. Be<strong>for</strong>e that, any attempt<br />

to access one of the phonebooks, view SMS or access SIM data will result in “+CME<br />

ERROR: 14” (SIM busy).<br />

1 Enable URC “^SSIM READY” indication.<br />

Description: TA returns the card identification number in SIM (SIM file EFICCID, see GSM 11.11<br />

Chap.10.1.1) as string type.<br />
