Otherwise, you will risk an injury involving a<br />

replacement part or some other object.<br />

Before starting the work, be sure to recover the<br />

refrigerant of outdoor unit by removing it with a<br />

refrigerant recovery device.<br />

4) Brazed point<br />

PMV<br />

1. Detachment<br />

1)Remove the lower cabinet (front side).<br />

2)Remove the inverter box in accordance with the<br />

dismantling instructions.<br />

3)Disconnect the 4-way valve coil and PMV coils (3<br />

pieces) and get all wiring located near the 4-way<br />

valve out of the way.<br />

4)Remove brazed points (3 locations) for the PMV<br />

assembly, which is placed in front of the 4-way<br />

valve.<br />

* Provide adequate cover for the PMV proper to<br />

protect it from overheating.<br />

5)Since it is difficult to simultaneously remove the<br />

brazed points for the pipes located above the 4-<br />

way valve (3 pieces), cut through them just below<br />

the brazed points using a saw, etc.<br />

6)Detach the pipe located below the 4-way valve.<br />

7)Remove the end sections of the pipes above the<br />

4-way valve, which were cut in step 5).<br />

8)Install a new 4-way valve.<br />

* Provide adequate cover for the 4-way valve to<br />

protect it from overheating. During the installation,<br />

insert pipes firmly into the 4-way valve, or a<br />

blockage or leakage involving brazing filler metal<br />

may result.<br />

9)Reinstall the PMV assembly, which was removed<br />

in step 4).<br />

* Provide adequate cover for the PMV to protect it<br />

from overheating.<br />

10) Reinstall all the coils removed in step 3), and put<br />

the wiring back to its initial state.<br />

11) Reinstall the inverter box in accordance with the<br />

installation instructions.<br />

12) Reinstall the lower cabinet.<br />
