<strong>7110.65P</strong>2/19/043−1−14. GROUND OPERATIONS WHENVOLCANIC ASH IS PRESENTWhen volcanic ash is present on the airport surface,and to the extent possible:a. Avoid requiring aircraft to come to a full stopwhile taxiing.b. Provide for a rolling takeoff for all departures.NOTE−When aircraft begin a taxi or takeoff roll on ashcontaminated surfaces, large amounts of volcanic ash willagain become airborne.
