SAME DIRECTIONWhen transitioning from an offshore airspace area tooceanic airspace or while <strong>with</strong>in oceanic airspace,apply 5 minutes minimum separation when afollowing aircraft on the same course is climbingthrough the altitude of the preceding aircraft if thefollowing conditions are met:e. The following aircraft is in direct communication<strong>with</strong> air traffic control until vertical separation isestablished. The preceding aircraft is level at the assignedaltitude and is maintaining a speed equal to or greaterthan the following aircraft; andb. The minimum of 5 minutes is maintainedbetween the preceding and following aircraft; andc. The following aircraft is separated by not morethan 4,000 feet from the preceding aircraft when theclimb clearance is issued; andd. The following aircraft commences climb <strong>with</strong>in10 minutes after passing:1. An exact reporting point (DME fix orintersection formed from NAVAIDs) which thepreceding aircraft has reported; or2.
