CONTROL TRANSFERa. Transfer control of an aircraft in accordance<strong>with</strong> the following conditions:1. At a prescribed or coordinated location, time,fix, or altitude; or,2. RADIO COMMUNICATIONS TRANSFERa. Transfer radio communications before anaircraft enters the receiving controller’s area ofjurisdiction unless otherwise coordinated or specifiedby a letter of agreement or a facility directive.b. Transfer radio communications by specifyingthe following:NOTE−Radio communications transfer procedures may bespecified by a letter of agreement or contained in the routedescription of an MTR as published in the DOD PlanningAP/1B (AP/3).1. The facility name or location name andterminal function to be contacted. TERMINAL: Omitthe location name when transferring communicationsto another controller <strong>with</strong>in your facility; exceptwhen instructing the aircraft to change frequency forfinal approach guidance include the name of thefacility.2. Frequency to use except the following may beomitted:(a) FSS frequency.(b) Departure frequency if previously givenor published on a DP chart for the procedure issued.(c) TERMINAL:(1) Ground or local control frequency if inyour opinion the pilot knows which frequency is inuse.(2) The numbers preceding the decimalpoint if the ground control frequency is in the 121MHz bandwidth.General2−1−7
