APPLICATIONProvide air traffic control services in the NorthAmerican ICAO Region − Arctic CTA with theprocedures and minima contained in this section.8−10−2. VERTICAL SEPARATIONProvide vertical separation in accordance with:a. Chapter 4, IFR, Section 5, Altitude Assignmentand Verification; andb. Facility directives depicting the transitionbetween flight levels and metric altitudes.8−10−3. LONGITUDINAL SEPARATIONIn accordance with Chapter 8, Offshore/OceanicProcedures, Section 3, Longitudinal Separation,apply the following:a. 15 minutes between turbojet aircraft.b. The prescribed minima in accordance withpara 8−3−3, Mach Number Technique.c. 20 minutes between other aircraft.8−10−4. LATERAL SEPARATIONIn accordance with Chapter 8, Offshore/OceanicProcedures, Section 4, Lateral Separation, apply thefollowing:a. Provide 90 NM lateral separation betweenaircraft, orb. Lower minima in para 5.4.1 of Chapter 5 of theProcedures for Air Navigation−Services, Air TrafficManagement (PANS−ATM), (Doc 4444−ATM/501)may be applied or further reduced in accordance withpara 5.11 of the same part where the conditionsspecified in the relevant PANS−ATM are met.North American ICAO Region− Arctic CTA8−10−1
