The unqualified term “airspeed”means one of the following:a. Indicated <strong>Air</strong>speed− The speed shown on theaircraft airspeed indicator. This is the speed used inpilot/controller communications under the generalterm “airspeed.”(Refer to 14 CFR Part 1.)b. True <strong>Air</strong>speed− The airspeed of an aircraftrelative to undisturbed air. Used primarily in flightplanning and en route portion of flight.
