On Windows Server 2003:You modified TSMASR.CMD on the ASR recovery diskette so thatNTBACKUP is called after restoring system state. The recoverycontinues with the Windows backup <strong>and</strong> restore wizard.After the system state is restored, the following message is displayed:Press any key to continue.... Do not press any key to continue, butwait for the Windows backup <strong>and</strong> restore wizard to start. Completethe wizard to restore the user profiles.You can now restore other volumes.Restoring user profiles during ASR recovery (Windows Server2003)Recover user profiles during a Windows Server 2003 system recovery.You created the Automated System Recovery (ASR) recovery diskette. You insertedthe NTBACKUP comm<strong>and</strong> in the TSMASR.CMD comm<strong>and</strong> script on the ASRrecovery diskette. You saved user profile data in c:\ntbackup.bkf <strong>and</strong> backed upc:\ntbackup.bkf.This task occurs during ASR recovery, after system state is restored. The followingsteps complete the Windows backup <strong>and</strong> restore wizard to restore user profiles.1. In the welcome panel, click Advanced Mode <strong>and</strong> click Next.2. Click Restore Wizard (Advanced) , then click Next.3. In the file tree, select c:\ntbackup.bkf <strong>and</strong> click Next. ntbackup.bkf containsthe user profiles data.4. In the Completing the Restore Wizard panel, click Advanced to specifyadditional options.5. In the restore destination panel select Original location.6. In the restore method panel select Replace existing files.7. In the Advanced Restore Options panel, leave the default settings (all optionsare set).8. In the Completing the Restore Wizard panel, click Finish. The user profiles arerestored.9. When the restore completes, close the NTBACKUP application.10. In the comm<strong>and</strong> prompt window with the message Press any key tocontinue..., press a key. ASR continues. The comm<strong>and</strong> file finishes <strong>and</strong> thecomputer restarts.11. Remove the ASR recovery diskette.
