Your authority status isprovided in the Delete Archive Files field.To delete archive copies from the Tivoli Storage Manager GUI or Web client:1. Select Delete Archive Data from the Utilities menu. The Archive Deletewindow appears.2. Exp<strong>and</strong> the Directory tree by clicking the plus sign (+) or folder icon next tothe object you want to exp<strong>and</strong>. Objects on the tree are grouped by archivepackage description.3. Click the Delete button. Tivoli Storage Manager prompts you for confirmationbefore deleting archive selections. The Archive Delete Task List windowdisplays the progress of the delete.To delete archive copies using the Tivoli Storage Manager comm<strong>and</strong> line client, usethe delete archive comm<strong>and</strong>.Related reference“Delete Archive” on page 558Select the retrieve function to recover an archive copy of a file or a directory.Note: When retrieving a directory, its modification date <strong>and</strong> time is set to the date<strong>and</strong> time of the retrieve, not to the date <strong>and</strong> time the directory had when it wasarchived. This is because retrieves the directories first, then adds the files to thedirectories.You can also retrieve archive copies from the directory tree, filter the directory tree,<strong>and</strong> retrieve archive copies of files owned by someone else.
