Tivoli Storage Manager allows the backup of only clustered disks when running inthe following environments:v A Microsoft Cluster Server (MSCS)v Failover Clustering on Windows Server 2008v Failover Clustering on Windows Server 2008 R2vVERITAS Cluster Server (VCS) environment, when the clusternode processingoption is set to yesThe Tivoli Storage Manager Backup-Archive client previously only allowed backupof clustered drives associated with a drive letter. It is becoming more prevalent to define clustered drives as volume mount points. The Windows 2003 Server and products such as IBM Tivoli SANergy ® allow theuser to surpass the 26-drive-letter limitation by allowing volume mount points tobe defined on a clustered server.Note that when the clusterdisksonly option is specified as yes, the Tivoli StorageManager Backup-Archive client continues to segregate local drives from clusterdrives when evaluating the ALL-LOCAL domain option. When theclusterdisksonly option is specified as no, you must explicitly define the backupdomains. When the clusterdisksonly option is specified as no, the Tivoli StorageManager Backup-Archive client also bypasses enumeration of cluster resources inorder to determine which resources represent cluster drives. This can be beneficialif initialization of the Backup-Archive client exhibits long delays.Supported ClientsThis option is valid for all Windows clients.Options FilePlace this option in the client options file (dsm.opt).Syntax►►CLUSTERDISKSOnlyYesNo►◄ParametersYesSpecifies that the Tivoli Storage Manager only allows the processing of clusterdrives that have a drive letter.
