Inthis case, an instance of the Tivoli Storage Manager Backup-Archive SchedulerService should be installed for node-1, node-2, group-a, and group-b. This ensuresthat proper resources are available to the Backup-Archive client when disks move(or fail) between cluster nodes. The clusternode option ensures that Tivoli Storage Manager manages backup datalogically, regardless of which cluster node backs up a cluster disk resource. Usethis option for Tivoli Storage Manager nodes that process cluster disk resources, and not local resources.Note: You must set the clusternode option to yes for all Tivoli StorageManager-managed cluster operations. Inconsistent use of the clusternode option fora given Tivoli Storage Manager cluster node name can cause Tivoli StorageManager to invalidate the cluster node name encrypted password, and prompt theuser to reenter the password during the next Tivoli Storage Manager programinvocation.Use the optfile option to properly call the correct (cluster) dsm.opt for all TivoliStorage Manager programs to ensure proper Tivoli Storage Manager functionalityfor cluster related operations.Related reference“Optfile” on page 423Install the backup-archive client on the cluster nodesInstall the backup-archive client software on a local disk on each cluster node.
