To fix missing or corrupt files, shortcuts, and registry entries, select the Repairoption.Note: If you do not restart Windows prior to installing the new client, some of thenew client files might be removed the next time you restart.Troubleshooting problems during installationIf you are upgrading from a previous version of Tivoli Storage Manager and thereare Tivoli Storage Manager services running (for example, Client Acceptor orScheduler), you might see an error during the installation.You might see the following error during installation:Error 1303. The installer has insufficient privileges to access this directory:(Install Drive):\Program Files\Tivoli\TSM\baclient\plugins. The installationcannot continue. Log on as an administrator or contact your system administrator.When this error occurs, you must stop the installation. After stopping theinstallation process, the previous version is no longer installed. Stop running theTivoli Storage Manager services and retry the installation process.Installing LVSA using the setup wizardIt is necessary to have the client installation files available to the workstation wheninstalling the LVSA using the setup wizard. This can be either CD or the expandedFTP image. The LVSA install using the GUI setup wizard makes use of the clientinstallation file "IBM Tivoli Storage Manager Client.msi", which is included in theclient installation files. The default location for the client installation files isC:\tsm_images. This is a limitation at this time.Removing online image backup or open file support during the upgradeIf you have Online Images Support and Open File support installed and want toremove either or both when upgrading to the latest Tivoli Storage Manager Client,deselecting the features during the upgrade installation will not work. To removeeither or both features, you must go to the Utilities -> Setup Wizard and removethem using the Help me configure.... options.If you receive a message during setup indicating that you do not have enough freespace to install on a drive that is known to have sufficient free space, you might beable to proceed by updating an entry in the setup.ini file that is included with theinstall package. If your package is on CD, you must copy the entire package to ahard disk so that you can edit setup.ini. Once setup.ini is available on your harddisk, open it up in your favorite text editor and change the line:DiskSpace=8000 ;DiskSpace requirement in KBtoDiskSpace=0000 ;DiskSpace requirement in KBChapter 1.
