During backup <strong>and</strong> restore, copies of the Windows Registry are saved onthe workstation in the following directories (assuming that your system drive is c:):c:\adsm.sys\registryThis directory contains subdirectories that are named after the Windowsworkstation name. For example, if the workstation name is tanenhaus, thedirectory would be: c:\adsm.sys\registry\tanenhausAttention: Restore the registry to the same workstation from which it wasbacked up, since the registry contains specific hardware <strong>and</strong> software information.If you try to restore to another workstation, you might not be able to boot thecomputer after the restore.For Windows XP registry restore you can simply enter:RESTORE REGISTRY -ACTIVATE=NOChapter 13.
