development as a toddler, and continues to be vital to him
to this day as a young teenager. I absolutely felt solace
each time I brought my son to our local MTU each week,
as I watched his PT and OT carefully structure and
implement important goals for him, and sensitively give me
hope and ideas for his continued development and
progress. Though my son has made incredible progress
and has not needed as much support from our local MTU
for many years, I'm still relying on the support of the MTU
staff more than 14 years later. Had I not had their
emotional support in the early years, and had my son not
had their physical support, I know for a fact we would not
have been able to come this far. Families absolutely NEED
the care offered by their local MTUs. Our income would
have precluded our family from receiving services. But
where else could we have gone to receive such incredible
support, have the opportunity to work with a caring and
capable team, and network with other families on a similar
journey? Our family is so VERY thankful for the support we
received, and continue to receive, from our local MTU.
