Palo Alto, CA Having tried to look for long term occupational and physical
therapies for my daughter I can attest that there are very
few resources available to disabled children outside of
CCS and those are rarely covered by health insurance for
the time needed. These children are given skills,
opportunities and strengths that help make them
contributing members to society as adults. We should be
putting more money into supporting them not taking money
away.

know how much it has meant to everyone in that family to
have the program available. It's not like they asked or
planned to be in this situation. If they were without this
program, I think it's highly unlikely they would be able to
make ends meet. We as the proverbial "village" have a
duty to protect all of our young and to give them the best
chance in life.

that will aid him in reaching his full potential.

contractures and other medical complications and have
helped guide us towards purchasing costly but necessary
and appropriate medical equipment (wheelchair, etc.) that
he needs to live his life with the dignity and independence
of a typical 5 year old. His therapists are invaluable and he
needs the services.
