Palsy. I have seen her strive and make leaps of progress
with the MTP program, including PT and OT. Please,
please do not cut any funding to these programs!
6,343. parke godar San Luis Obispo, CA My niece has greatly benefitted from these services. She
has Cerebral Palsy and truly needs PT and OT to be
covered for her to continue her progress. Please continue
MTP at the current funding level.
Walnut Creek, CA Services for children with special needs need to be added
not taken away. Shame on you! Try to put yourselves for
once in their shoes. Life is hard as it is with difficulties
these kids face every day of their lives. Please refocus
your cuts on services that don't affect the children or the
disabled.
6,345. Maritza Kim Pleasant Hill, CA I care about special needs children, and I care about the
middle class no being squeezed out of treatment options
for our children!
6,346. robert cole Salinas, CA I urge state leadership to recognize and responsibly fund
CCS and the essential benefits it provides to children like
our daughter who depends on CCS. Thank you.
CA
6,349. Jamie Lankes San Diego, CA I think that for families that would not meet the financial
criteria to receive MTP services they would have difficulty
in finding a place that could provide equivalent services
and could potentially cost families thousands of dollars per
year. I also think that some families that currently have
private health insurance for their child may choose to
"institutionally deem" their child to receive therapy services
and the state may ultimately pay more money as the family
would stop using private insurance to pay for other medical
services and equipment.
6,350. Sheila Jones Sacramento, CA
6,351. Lisa Halperin Plesanton, CA The MTP is essential for all families with children who have
neuromuscular disabilities. The proposed cuts would
create an even greater disparity between those that need
the services and those that are receiving them. Additionally
the proposed cuts would trim less than one tenth of 1%
from the budget, but would negatively impact thousands of
children.
6,352. Russell Holmes Templeton, CA All kids deserve therapy services!
