therapy services from the CCS MTU program.She attends
therapy sessions 3 times per week. Because of CCS and
the MTU program, she walks, runs and is learning to jump.
She can put on her own pants, socks and shoes. Without
this program, our family would not be able to afford her
much needed physical and occupational therapy. Our
insurance only provides10 visits per year, and only if a
disability is the result of accident or injury after birth. Even
if they would cover therapy, there are no pediatric
therapists in our area who take our insurance. I understand
that our state is in crisis, and that that budget cuts are a
necessary evil. But to place the burden of those cuts on
our youngest and most vulnerable citizens is
unconscionable.
