379. Ellen Strong West Hills, CA Availability of these services should not be based on
"means" but on "need!"
380. Kathy Youngson Concord, CA I work in Early Intervention and have seen the great results
of kids who receive CCS services and equipment. Parents
with kids who have special needs are already struggling.
They do not need any additional burdens to bear. Families
with special needs have a much higher divorce rate than
the average population - any additional financial burdens
could put many families at a higher risk for divorce. I am
sure there are many other places the money can be
"found". Please DO NOT take money from these families!
381. Laurie Sore New Port Richey, FL Saving money at the expense of disabled children and
their families is just plain evil!
382. peggy clarke san francisco, CA I know people dear to me that will be effected by the cuts.
383. Tammy Oh San Jose, CA
384. Sarah Hart Wisconsin Dells, WI
385. Sonia Joo Yorba Linda, CA
386. maria kaestner Santa Barbara, CA Those who cannot fend for themselves are always the first
to suffer during hard times. This is an absolute shame not
only to our families with disabled children but to our society
as a whole and the things we value like our children.
387. Chris
Goleta, CA
388. Ken Wu Long Beach, CA
389. Victoria Strong Santa Barbara, CA My daughter receives services from CCS that we cannot
receive anywhere else. Please do not cut these vital
therapies for the most vulnerable among us.
390. Lorraine Amenda San Bruno, CA I can understand that some income restriction may be
needed in these difficult times for the state budget.
However, the $40,000 figure seems very low and it is
unrealistic to expect a family at that income level to be able
to provide these services on their own.
391. Elysse Breaux S. San Fran, CA A friend's child really needs medical care and if this
happens she will be living in pain for years without therapy.
People need this. Children need therapy.
392. Maureen Cohen Northridge, CA
393. Eleanor Kim SSF, CA It affects a friend's daughter.
394. Kathryn Cahalan Pasadena, CA
395. Kristi Gravano San Francisco, CA
396. Ryan Kenyon Huntington Beach,
CA
My daughter has spina bifida and has benefited from CCS
for about two and a half years. Their therapy has been
crucial to her development. Today, at three years old, she
is able to walk and almost run due largely to their help.
Thank you, Kim, Lori, and all of CCS.
