Name From Comments
4,986. Allison Atwood San Francisco, CA I was an occupational therapist for 7 years at CCS in San
Mateo county. These budget cuts would do a huge
disservice to families with children with disabilities. Having
a child with a disability can put a huge financial burden on
families. Without the support from CCS, families are
required to pay for all therapy services and durable
medical equipment. Even if the family has insurance, this
will only cover a small percentage of the total cost. Please
reconsider these budget cuts as it could affect whether or
not a child is able to receive these very necessary medical
and therapeutic services.
