Cerebral Palsy and she currently receives treatment at
CCS. The Therapy provided by CCS has helped Reagan
exponentially.

1,621. Pamela Diken Palo Alto, CA I realize that the state needs to cut cost and programs.
However, I would like you to know one reason why this
program is so important. I would also like to give you one
suggestion for this program that could help reduce the
states budget.
1.) CCS is of utmost importance because their PT's and
OT's specialize in pediatric medical therapy which the
common PT OT does not know how to work with children
who have neurological and/or musculoskeletal disorders
and you cannot find these types of PT OT's at your regular
medical services. CCS is and has been our families lifeline
and we would not know how we would get along without
them. Also don't forget that by law school districts have to
provide these services for their students and school
districts can barely educate the common student in the
classroom let alone supply PT OT services for the
medically fragile students. I could go on and on of why
closing and/or preventing children from getting these
important services because of financial reasons. If the
legislators who are making these decisions chose to limit
families who make more than $40,000 where will those
families find these specialized PT OT's to continue therapy
and then once these families start paying out of pocket
they will eventually end up impoverish and qualify for CCS
is that what our legislators want? The thought of this is
