teacher more than 23 years) my heart is always with
children. I also work with the Severely Learning Impaired in
middle school for about 10 years. I've seen the 'parent
struggle' from my pre-school teaching years to my
Elementary subbing.
My husband and I are currently in the same situation as
these families, so I can relate even more. We are poor but
make to much money to get aid. It's called being in
between the cracks.
It's hard enough to see your children suffer and try to do
your best for them, wearing yourself out and suffering with
them. To add to that the inability to get them the care they
need or just keep a warm roof over their heads and food,
etc., becomes horribly painful. I know.
Please, we all need this help and these families are the
best place to start.
