diagnosis later in life, I know how important these
programs are for families. While it seems easy to cut these
and other programs liek this, it is really hurting these
children. We have come so far as a nation and in the world
from 50 years ago, look at what we have learned in that
span...kids with disablities do contribute to our society if
they are given the opportunity and therapy to do so.
Please do not cut these programs.

753. Kathleen Worsley Bakersfield, CA As a pediatric nurse and friend to special needs parents it
is clear that these parents need more support! Not less.
They have increased day-to-day tasks, in addition to health
complications that parents of "healthy" children could never
imagine... and its for the life of the child (however long or
short that may be). These kids need more support to foster
independence and improved quality of life.

get OT, PT due to be born with a dissability or adquiring it
thru an injury. Money is WASTED on "INVASIONS" to
other countries, giving money to the non needed living on
section 8. Please Gobernor think right and don't cut the
benefits to families with children with special needs. Me as
a parent of a dissable child will pray God for a special
blessing for your family and you for doing the "right thing".

760. Jolene Griep Yucaipa, CA My son who has CP right hemiplegia has been receiving
both PT and OT through CCS on a weekly basis since he
was 10 months old As a result he is now able to walk and
use his right arm better. With the proposed changes, he
would likely have only received 12 visits a year. He
wouldn't be doing what he can with only monthly therapy.
