is important to me because I LOVE my child and I want the
best life for her AND because although we are middle
class there is NO way we could ever get a head in life (aka
buying a home) because all of our extra money goes to our
daughters DAILY needs like Caths, leg braces, crutches..
things like that that used to be paid for an now we are
getting bills for $2000.00 OFTEN. NOT Just once or twice
a year. OFTEN. We are very tempted to move out of state
and even out of country because this is out of control!!

and only works part time. We are raising 2 grandchildren
who have extreme medical needs. We are not making
enough to live on but Medi-Cal says that a family of 4
should be able to live on less than $1000 per month. You
can't even find a place to rent for that amount. We are
forced to pay huge out of pocket every month to be
eligable for benefits. Please help the working poor. We are
doing our best.

challenges that we face on a day to day basis. There are
many, adn they are often unavoidable...but what shouldn't
be a challenge is providing adequate services for these
kids that need it most. If you take away those services that
are so desperately needed, you are taking away the
potential for this child's independence.
