funding for the Medical Therapy Program be retained
without the proposed financial eligibility standards. Let's
find the needed budget cuts elsewhere - not at the
expense of providing care for these unfortunate children.

what I would do without their services. Not only do they
help with home programs with PT/OT but also help in our
decisions on equipment that best fit's the needs of our
daughter.

They have been there for us and gotten us through this
tough time. I dont know what we would do without them.
981. Sabra Inslicht Tiburon, CA My son was born with fibular hemimelia, a condition in
which he has a shorter leg and is missing several bones.
At birth, a local doctor told us that we would probably need
to amputate my son's leg for him to ever be able to walk.
We began with CCS when he was one month old. We
have since found another doctor who was able to save our
son's leg through reconstructive surgery. CCS therapists
guided us throughout the decision making process and
difficult transition across providers. They also provided the
necessary physical therapy and support through a costly
and very difficult reconstruction procedure. At times, this
required twice daily physical therapy for months and
ongoing weekly PT for years. While our insurance covered
the initial portion of physical therapy, we would were
capped in # sessions and would have been required to pay
thousands of dollars outside of the tens of thousands of
dollars that we have already paid for the surgeries. My son
has now earned his first belt in Tae Kwon Do and has
skied for the first time in his life. This would not be possible
without the help and support of his CCS therapists.
