program. Just because my son doesn't live in a wheelchair,
we are always having to fight to keep his services. His is
labeled "mild cerebral palsy". He still doesn't fit in with the
typical kids
physically and falls frequently. He needs his wheelchair,
due to physical exhaustion, after walking two blocks. (He's
very skinny and walks dragging his left foot). The best way
I can describe it is, if you got in a car accident tomorrow,
and now you had a leg that wouldn't move with you, and
you were still a growing child, wouldn't you want access to
therapy? Just because he isn't as bad as "some of the
kids", does that mean my child should go without? As a
matter of fact, it's these kids, who are aren't as severe,
who have the most potential to benefit and use these skills
to work and get educations in the future. PLEASE don't let
our kids
FALL THROUGH THE CRACKS!!!
