Having lived with my now 50 year old aunt who has special needs, I understand how different her life would have been if she had received these services as a child. Its is important to remember that CCS is not only providing treating for special needs children but also for their families by providing evidence based education and training that is crucial during the daily lives of these patients. While children may "graduate out of CCS", their needs remain throughout their whole life. I firmly believe that programs like CCS should be commended, (not cut) due to their outstanding work and that California would benefit from more programs like CCS. 7,445.
